Let Me Introduce You To Dr David Jack - Brand of the Week

Oh hello Friday, we have missed you.

I hope you have had the best week and are looking forward to some R&R this weekend.

I am bringing another new feature to YOMU Magazine and each Friday I will share with you a brand that I have found simply from starting this magazine and meeting new people.

I don’t know about your skin but mine is super sensitive and as soon as the sun comes out, the hyperpigmentation comes out in full force.

Now, living by the sea and doing a lot of walking means that this condition blights my face, esp my forehead, faster than I can put a hat on and rub in the suncream.

The mismatch of skin doesn’t really bother me, it kind of looks cure, but I know that it isn’t great for my skin or health, so I started to look into options.

One of those was in the form Dr David Jack, a brilliant doctor who has created an equally brilliant skincare range.

The ethos is simple but effective products with a strong scientific basis.

So good, so far.

Active ingredients and high quality formulations have been blended (I mean it’s more complicated than that) and it’s good for all skin types and concerns.

I was sent the sheer day cream because it has protective filters, including SPF50 and blue light protection, so you are protected from both her sun but also high energy visible light that comes from our all too often used smartphones and screens, and which both cause premature ageing. I was 50 last week and am all for youthful looks! Speaking of ageing, there is also potassium azeloyl diglycinate in this super product and that helps to soothe skin and reduce the breakdown of all types of collagen.

Let’s not forget the Carrot Extract which is excellent for dealing with anti pollution and blue light protection as well as assisting with the prevention of cellular damage so that you have a healthy complexion.

Not chalky, not greasy, good under makeup, actually it can be usesd as a primer and this is because it includes molecular weight hyaluronic acid and a vegan equivalent of snail mucin (don’t ask) but basically this all helps to boost hydration and bind water to the skin.

The formula leaves your skin feeling soft and looking sheer and clear as there is no chalky finish. Oh, and it comes in simple but stylish white and blue packaging so looks perfect in the bathroom.

This is one of many products from the company, all of which are cruelty free and made right here in the UK with Dr. David Jack working with a cosmetic chemist.

If you want to look after you skin better, check out Dr David Jack and let me know what you think.
